The Museum is located in Memorial Hall, 109 West Second Avenue, in downtown Gastonia. The building is owned and maintained by the City of Gastonia. The Museum itself maintained and operated by American Legion Post 23. The American Military Museum has a unique collection of military artifacts covering all wars and all war-related services. Along with the military exhibits, there is an extensive collection of Gaston County Legion baseball artifacts and Drum and Bugle Corps. exhibits.
